I’ve been writing professionally for more than 30 years.

For 15 of those years, I worked with a Silicon Valley marketing agency to create engaging content for some of the world’s leading high-tech businesses—including IBM, Dell, and Intel. Next, I managed a brand advertising program for VMware, where we bolstered brand awareness and drove pipeline by producing hundreds of ads every quarter for multiple global markets. More recently, I wrote or edited more than 150 articles for theNET—Cloudflare’s C-suite thought-leadership blog.

As an independent consultant, I’ve collaborated with a diverse array of clients—from healthcare organizations to music software companies, and early-stage startups to leading global enterprises.

I’m also an academic writer. After earning a psychology degree from Stanford, I completed a PhD in history at UC Berkeley. I’ve written an academic book, published a few articles, and taught at both Berkeley and the University of Oregon.

I now live in southwestern Vermont—but I work with clients around the world. When I’m not writing, I’m playing music or running around with the dogs.
